Woahh walking a league with the likes of Yeovil and Bournemouth? You support leeds, so why mock the championship when Leeds are in it too? The nerve of some fans honestly, no disrespect to Leeds, a great club they once WERE...

Given all you've got to your name in the last 40 years is a 1st div & 2nd division title I don't think you can really hark about being a big side, like forest still banging on about winning the european cup (and unlike yourselves they did actually win it), and frankly that's rather disrespectful to the likes of Bournemouth (who still have a shot at the play-offs).

Oh, and while I won't deny the thais have spent before, this squad is a tight, and been built on the relative cheap (not a yeovil/barnsley budget, but far from a high budget, even at championship level). This last financial year and season have been cost cutting measures in general, with some spending to secure the clubs future. The big spending Leicester line hasn't been relevant since October 2011 and is just the sign of fans who are bitter that we're doing well.

Ah yes, that famous European cup we were cheated out of. Maybe we haven't won many trophies for a while, but we were in Europe 12 years ago. We're only where we are because of a financial implosion that brought the club to its knees. We've slowly rebuilt, and at a time where we looked like we gained some stability & could make a real go of it, **** hit the fan again & we will rebuild again.

As said, we're still recovering. I just have a gripe about Leicester fans. Bark on about how great they are when they've done **** all, this isn't just on TSR, but everywhere. You've done incredibly well this year, yet still only have the 4th highest attendance in the league?! If Leeds were where you are now we'd have over 32,000 at every game. I've just noticed how Lesta fans have crawled out of the woodwork since you've now got Premier League football on the horizon.

I wouldn't describe him as anything like Iwelumo. For a big man, he's not much of an aerial or physical player. He's a cracking finisher when on form but that's essentially it - he's a poacher with a bit of weight to him. I certainly doubt he'd miss an open goal from 6 yards, and he plays regularly for a far better nation than Iwelumo got capped for...

I'd probably say Scotland is better than the NZ to be fair. WC qualifying is probably easier against New Caledonia and Vanuatu than against the European lot.

Wood's best finish was his first goal against Watford this year, in my opinion, ferocious strike. Unstoppable.

I'd always put Leeds ahead of Leicester on this. Crowds, general league performance, history and so on. Leicester very lucky to have one of the only owners who racks up a nine figure debt but wants none of it back...

Despite cost cutting efforts Leicester still lost big money last season and the owner had to dip into his pockets again. Total losses of £110m since the takeover and not a single sanction, ridiculous.

As a Scot I've got to disagree, we're utterly ****.

Was a cracker. Shows why players should actually pit the keeper under pressure from pass-backs.

Most of the money they've plowed in is in sponsorship (well, there was the 9 figure loans to equity move in December but that's a bit of a weird one given the money they put in then was essentially saying don't give us the money we've already put in, give us the shares instead), like Manchester City naming the CoM as the etihad. They won't call it in because they want the club to be successful to make it a bigger marketing machine for their business. Not so much doesn't want it back as seeing the club as a giant billboard and trying to make it as profitable (for them) an advertising route as possible

Thr spending has gone down two routes though: splurging under sven (why Redknapp didn't learn from us I don't know) and clearing old debts. The first, yeah, clubs shouldn't be allowed to throw money left right and centre, but we've recouped as much as we can and as for the latter, I don't see that clubs should be punished for trying to secure their future.

Lowest attendance of the season at Elland Road tonight, 17,343. Beat by Charlton. ****ing dreadful.

Lestaa equilise, to compound the misery more.

Manchester Utd didn't get pulverised by Bayern.

Edit: Penalty to Leeds!

Edit #2: Penalty missed...

Edit #3: **** everything.

Well I was a bit worried about Stevenage for some reason, take the point.

Yeah I agree that Leeds are the bigger club, but I feel its a pointless argument. At the end of the day we're all in the football league right now for our own deficiencies, not because of stuff that happened in the olden' days.

Agree with that.

However the money's been poured in, the end result is that the owners have been extremely generous in writing off a not inconsiderable sum of money that has gone on keeping Leicester in business. Clubs being used as brands to further a corporate image just says in a nutshell what football in this country has been reduced to. When I went to see us at Leicester a few years ago it was actually a little sad seeing the old 'Walkers' and 'Alliance and Leicester' logos being ripped off the walls and replaced with 'King Power'.

Powerful symbol of the direction football's taking, and I don't like it. Fully expect QPR to be hit with the book next season for their reckless spending, hopefully Forest too, as these clubs have made no effort at all to be sensibly run.

Can't disagree with you on the re branding of the stadium. We used to have the strip around the top of the stadium with the score boards that pictured city legends and iconic moments like the walshy goal vs derby. Scrapping that for some bland adverts was disappointing to say the least.

Still the money has only been recklessly spent in the way ffp and that are designed to combat in 3 months of the near 4 years they've been owners. I don't see that clubs spending money to pay their debts should be punished

I don't object to debts being settled, however from that point on the Thais have been stemming losses that are being made year on year. But yeah, seeing the matchday experience be so blatantly commercialised for some corporate entity doesn't sit well with me.

Do I begrudge Leicester fans enjoying the benefits? Of course not. But the footballing authorities in this country really need to get a grip before they're left with a few mega brands and nothing else.
I support Leicester.

The spending under Sven especially was ridiculous. At least now, they are trying to reduce it, Pearson has got rid of most of the high wage earners. If we get into the Premier League, than thanks to the owners. Money, gets success most of the time.

Yep. There are a few exceptions where clubs on small budgets defy the norm (Blackpool, Yeovil), but generally the most clout wins.

Interestingly, not many fans are calling for him to sacked. He just doesn't have enough quality in the squad to compete at the top. He'll definitely be sacked if Cellino gets in.
Some of the Birmingham fans have been calling for Lee Clarke to get sacked but I don't see who else would be willing to come in!!!
He is a weird one though, whenever we win he ALWAYS plays the same team next game. Its so frustrating.
Three games in a row without scoring. Maybe we're not going up.

We said the same with Andy Thorn. Yeah, the guy who was later sacked after a month by Kidderminster!
