I know its early, but just thought i would see if there are any other potential PGCE-ers out there. Very excited to start the course and to meet everybody!

Hi Amy! Nice to meet you . I don't usually use this site but wasn't sure how to go about finding people. I guess someone will set up a facebook page closer to the time. Are you local to UEA or will you be moving? What do you do at the moment?

I don't but I came across the thread when I was searching for more information on the course  Yeah I live local to UEA, I'm also doing psychology here at the moment. What about you?

I graduated last year also doing Psychology but at Hull University. Since then iv'e just been working part time and getting school experience, and iv'e got a bit of travelling lined up. I live in Holt (about 45 mins away) so fairly local, but i'm hoping to move into the city for September

I think we might have been in the same interview! I think I remember talking to you, mine was on the 10th December in the morning x

Was that the first interview day? I think i remember you now! We sat together for a while doing the written task? Happy to hear you got on  I wonder if any of the others got a place.

Yes it was! Pleased to hear you got on, how did your other interview go? I think I remember you saying you had another one the following week. I wonder if anyone else from our interview got on, I suppose we'll find out in September. I've got friends on my course who are still waiting for their interview so I'm pleased we got it all finished with before christmas, I don't think I could have handled waiting this long!

Yeah i had another interview at York St Johns the next week. I got an offer but decided i prefer UEA  Didnt you have a school direct one as well? Oh gosh i would hate to still be waiting! It was stressful getting the application done early but glad i did now!

Yeah I did, I got through to the next stage but decided to withdraw, I wanted to go to UEA  I suppose I'll see you in September then!

Hi!

I start my Secondary PGCE this September at UEA  I did my undergrad there too.

I have made a PGCE Secondary page which should come up on the UEA Facebook page (if it's not then do let me know!).

It would be worth making an Early Years/Primary page too

Xx
Hey

Is anyone else starting on the Early Years course in September?

Hi ,

I'm starting on the primary pgce in September at uea. I live in Exeter at the moment so definitely will be moving to Norwich , I don't know if you were also hoping to share with other pgce students too?
(I know it's still quite early to be deciding !!)

Happy Easter

Woo well done! You'll be fine  Just do the practice tests, Maths isn't my strong point at all and I've always been comfortable with Literacy, did the same amount of practice for both but I actually found the Maths a bit easier! I'm excited too

Well done  What age are you specialising in? I already live in a student house in Norwich as I have studied at UEA for my undergrad, but if you need any help with things there or want to know anything, I'll be more than happy to help if I can!

I'm on the primary ks2 pgce starting September, I'm the old guy with a beard...
Anyone doing pgce secondary, in geography? Haven't found anyone yet!!!
I have a place on the Primary PGCE with French specialism course  So excited to start! Would end of June/beginning of July be too late to start looking for a house/flat? I'm still at uni and live in Yorkshire and can't go down to viewings until then really :/

It might be worth having a look online first to see what you can find or contacting UEA and asking if they can help you  There still tends to be houses around then though so don't panic!
I've just been offered a place on the Early Years PGCE Primary just got to hope the student finance will be enough - I've got a mortgage and 2 young children. Will be gutted if I have to turn it down cos of money :-(
