Discovered Vela playing in Mexican football as a teenager, got him for nothing
Ensured a buy back clause was inserted in his sale contract after he didn't work out in the PL
Loaned Bendtner out for 2 years and didn't pay a penny of his wages during that time

Think this is one example of Wenger's stubbornness not being an issue, bringing back Vela would prove he was right all along about his talent...

Yeah he did, Ive seen Vela play live for Arsenal a few times and he was average to terrible. Loaned out to WBA and did nothing as well. That's not to say he's a bad player of course, and Wenger was cute enough to get the buy back clause in so I cant understand slaughtering Arsene at all really.

Look at how Utd cast off Pique, Rossi, Pogba or how Chelsea sold Matic for nothing and then bought him back for £25m to see how other clubs do it.

I'm too tired to reply to that, I've lost the battle anyway. But I shall still stand firm at the fact that AW will probably not buy him even at the lowest possible fee cos that's the kinda guy he is.

Sure, if Verm and Sagna leave we'll need cover. We also need a young, promising CB to take over from Kos/Mert, but aside from that?

Would be nice.

But AW and Balotelli seem polar opposites, whilst Reus would probably move somewhere else if he left Dortmund - unless our German mafia can make him an offer he can't refuse.

Bender would fit in nicely.

We can always dream.

And the £70m price tag for those three combined is the bargain of the last twenty centuries combined.

fair enough, I keep forgetting we have him
So we sign Viviano for GK.

CB can be a young unknown for the future and worst case scenario backup

Still need a decent RB (sagna is going for sure)

Plus DM, LW and ST.

None of that really fits with Arsene saying we'll get "two to three players" this summer.
