Are you on Edexcel? It's just that, I've googled that phrase and all I can find for it is from the AQA specification... Is that the stuff that contributes to totalitarian regime?

I don't get what you would include in a question like this though? What topics would I include in this question?! Is it like the purges?! Please someone help!!!!

Personally, we've not been taught this specific topic either: Stalin's Intolerance of Diversity, I can only guess that some tutors customise the topic name but essentially, it's the same content. I think this topic is related to Stalin's totalitarian dictatorship and how he emphasised on the fact that nobody could have different ideas or beliefs so Communism could become a success for Russia. So collectivisation involved communist ideology, as did the Five Year Plans and Stalin's social policies, it's all that kind of stuff I believe!

And you've also got The Moscow Show Trials which enabled Stalin to eradicate his former rivals, those who were a threat to his ideas of communism. This highlights that he accepted no individuality, everybody had to follow his ideas of communism

Yeah, it's the purges, socialist realism, and the cult of personality.

I'm not entirely sure about one of the questions being on the rise to power, seen as how one of the questions in lasts years paper was on how Stalin was able to defeat his political opponents. Not saying it's impossible, but I think it'd be strange if such similar topics came up two years in a row. My teacher said that they haven't asked a question on Russia becoming a superpower in 5 years, so he said that that might come up.

I just hope the questions aren't too mean :C
if you google edexcel history alevel past papers first entry should be A level history click on link then top right corner should say looking for past papers and just hunt through that.

I think he mentioned that as well. I'd love a question on superpower, as you just talk about three factors- the economy, the military and geographical influence.

Anything anyone would like to come up, in the first unit as well as the second?
Our teacher hasn't thought us anything about becoming a superpower, she stopped at world war 2! So scared for this exam
Hope the other question is on methods of control
What does everyone think about Russia is rev??
Hoping for 1905 rev or Feb 1917 or consolidation of power

Definitely want 1905 revolution, I wouldn't mind consolidation of power or the civil war

1905/1917, the whole fall of the tsar area is my strongest I think

And yeah forgot about civil war but that would be good!
