expanding quadratics help

first question:
expand (3x-1)(2x+3)
= 6x^2+7x-3
then Im asked to show how I can use my answer to work out 29 * 23:
how am I supposed to do that?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks In advance

I suspect a typo, and they really want 29 * 23.

Looking at the factorisation, what might be a suitable choice for x?

Yep. And just put that into the quadratic, which is easy to work out with x=10.
