Anyways no more football banter until 17th of may at 8 pm. As of now, I am on shut-down until next week Saturday.
27m for Shaw, that probably makes him the most expensive full back in the world. Mental.

Wow, United means business. I thought the deal for him going to Chelsea was all but done, guess not.

27m is a huge investment considering everything else United need to fix in their line up.

Quarter of their budget gone.

Gibbs>Shaw

It's disgraceful how Gibbs is constantly overlooked by England. Both Cole and Baines are getting on a bit. Gibbo should definitely be considered for Euro 2016.

Played his 40th game today, the most appearances he's had for us in one season.

To be honest Gibbs is much better than Shaw at the moment who has huge potential but is far from there yet, no idea why he's not being talked about. Plenty of my Southampton supporting mates think Clyne is better (should be going to the WC to be honest). £27m for a full back is outrageous when you could get a very good full back from the continent for £10m.

If we were looking at BPL ready RBs, Clyne & Coleman would be on my list. U think we were monitoring him when he was at Palace a few years back.

It's the Richards debacle all over again really, our best RB for years and he doesn't even get into the squad.
Shaw needs more U21 game time I think. Only when he's 22 will he be ready for full international level

United are on it! Bidding already lol

He along with the rest of the country will be hoping we slip up next week because all you ever hear from opposition fans is "no trophy in X years" and that's it.

Even if we win, expect the mantra to change from "no trophy in X years" to "no league title in X years" because it will happen. It's already started!!

It will be inevitable Peggles.

He said he wants us to win it actually, more so for Wenger than anyone else. It's no wonder he hates Arsenal fans with all the abuse people gave him. Everything he said about Arsenal fans is true. Some gooners have to drop the petty fickle hate, it's really embarrassing.

Did he really? Us Arsenal fans sometimes man, smh.

Just seen this, I'm absolutely buzzing. Transfer window season is upon us, and by the looks of it has already started. D'you reckon Shaw would take up the offer?

“Arsene is my football father. He took me from France, made me the player I am, made me believe about my quality. He was great for me. I am pleased Arsenal are in the final of the FA Cup. I hope they win. I might have a problem with Arsenal fans because of the way they treat me but I just want Arsene to win a trophy because he doesn’t deserve everything that has been said about him.

“I am a big fan of Jose Mourinho. I like him when he goes into the press conference, the way he talks, but what he said about Arsene is really disrespectful. Arsenal is Arsene. He changed the club. You cannot call him ‘a specialist in failure’. Everyone needs to calm down, even the Arsenal fans because they are really mean with him. ‘In Arsene We Trust’. That’s what they said. They should do it.’’

“The problem was the (new) stadium. They didn’t have the money to buy the players. Arsene is a straight guy. He can see into the future. He didn’t want to be penalised by Financial Fair Play so he wanted to stay by the rules and not living by debt. This year everything has been paid. He’s just paid €50m for Mesut Ozil. In the future, he will do it.’’

Much respect to Nasri for these comments. Quality player, I never hated him.

That me teary...you can tell he's a good guy at heart then, I'm just disappointed at how we've treated him.

i'm dying!

don't get me wrong, shaw is talented, and he could turn out amazing.

but he's just a kid who has had one good season.

then again, i'm fine with united spending that much on him.

do you reckon they'd buy sterling for 50m?
Hodgson is an idiot for not taking Cole imo. The class is still very clearly there
wilshire (and cos.) goal wins MOTDs goal of the season by a landslide, and well deserved too
