Awesome! Thanks
what did everyone get for the integration question?i got -root(3)/9 as one part and i forgot what my a value was
Original post by rapunzelsa
K wasn't 5root3. If you got that, it's because when you squared 6root5, you did
6 x (root5)^2 = 6 x 5 =30
instead of
6 x 6 x root5 x root5 = 6 x 6 x 5 = 180

what? (6root5)^2 = 180. then using pythagoras, k = 5root3 in the end

2/3 - (root3)/9
Yeah shady I got the same as you, don't remember what the full answer was exactly though but definitely included that

I couldn't find k for the circle question!!

If i found a random value for k and put it into part b for the circle equation (and squaring the 4) how may of the 5 marks for the question will I lose?
the last question i fking forgot to sub the surface area equation with 4 i got 4 though so how many marks will i lose for forgetting to write the value for surface area even though i got the 4.
defintely lost mark on the logs equation question for no damn reason. there goes my perfect 100

I left the integration question as one fraction .. will i lose marks? If it was right that is lol

2/3 - (root3)/9

AAH that is so a=2/3 and be =-1/9?
I was actually thinking really hard whether to put 1/9 or -1/9 LOOL
THANKS eased my mind

Not 100% sure but I know x=4 and you would put that value back into S=.... to get the value ( I think)
If you know the equation then try putting 4 in and see what you get

6root5^2 -4^2 = 164
164-11^2 = 43
K = root43
Errr are you thinking about the same question, darling?

question asked it in the form a + b(root3)
That integration question...lost my only mark out of C1 and C2..perhaps still 100 ums?!
i doubt anything below 75 will get 100 ums, edexcel is a pain in the neck like that
