He hasn't be injured however he looked fatigued and far from form for a good half of the season

He's probably joking the Wigan team to partner Harry Poitier in defence.

Yh you're right, to say he hasn't broken a sweat is a mad exaggeration. But still his injury record here has been impressive, you would imagine the fatigue would lead to a strain but nah

According to BBC Sport, Chelsea have agreed to sell Luiz to PSG for £40m

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27553042

Do you know what that means?

It means PSG HAVE to sell. They've already failed FFP..

It means Wenger should pounce on someone. Anyone.

Ibraaaaaaaa

Matuidi < id have him any day

Cavani

It's a misunderstanding from what I can see. When he was signed, word (e.g. in Mundo Deportivo) was that AFC have first refusal which kicks in if FCB accept offers that are higher than the price Cesc was bought for, as well as a 50% profit clause (meaning Arsenal would get half of the profit sum FCB get from selling him). So there's no "buy back clause". The sum that is being talked about is the sum that FCB would have to offer Cesc to Arsenal for in case they accept other offers that are higher than the initial transfer fee.

So it's entirely up to FCB and other clubs coming in for Cesc with an offer that's higher than €34m. Either way, at this point there's no point talking about it as no decision has been made on Cesc with Enrique being in office for like 2 days. I can see him leaving, but there's no way that would be determined already, especially because I doubt Cesc would want to leave unless he understands he won't be counted on any longer, which is yet to be seen.

Explains some of it, I guess. Pretty impressive of Arsenal to get that first refusal in, I didn't think they had it in em. Not bad at all.

I can't see why he'd leave, not that I know anything about potential changes at Barca under Enrique.

You really have no idea what you're talking about

It would be typical wenger to deflect the blame on to other people for his own failings and lack of spending though. Probably more of the same this summer

Enrique to me seems like he's going to do a full on revamp of the squad Guardiola style.

It's obvious that he needs a new defence, he'll probably use Montoya as a starter, buy a CB or two, sell Mascherano if he gets 2 CBs in the summer and buy a central midfielder to replace Xavi or use Rafinha.

He may sell a player or two. Did Xavi sign a new contract at Barca?

nope, hes said himself that he particularly doesn't like being played as a DM and prefers to have a holding midfielder with him. This allows him to glide across the field and get by players with ease (we can dream), without having to commit time to defending as much.

Diaby is very much a dribbler of the ball, just because of his build many assume that he should be some sort of destroyer at DM (people think this about players like Khedira too), this isn't the case really and while being compared to Vieira at times, he's more offensive than him with less of a physical impact on games. Arsene also says he shouldnt be played as a holding/defensive player, and even at Auxerre he was played as a Striker sometimes.

Ah, thanks for the correction. If Diaby and Wenger don't see Diaby as DM then so be it. Either way, our team will be vulnerable if we don't sign a specialist DM. All the top teams have steal in this role except us. Someone similar to Matic at Chelsea would be ideal, I'm not obsessed about unearthing the next Vieira but surely AFC fans agree that we need a top class DM. Tbh I'd rather purchase Alex Song back from Barcelona rather than Cesc and both are available.

I agree. We need a DM and a proper one. I really think Schnerdelin would be perfect. I wouldn't want Song back. Ever.

Looool I kind of like how everyone is rejecting Man Utd .
Pretty sure Cavani will leave this summer. Has been reports of unhappiness through out the year and what with FFP they have no choice but to sell.

I doubt we'd get him first however

The past and future thing. About what time would you like to go to and see what happened at the time.

I'll have to do some internet reconnaissance on Schnerderlin as I've never heard of him. Lars Bender from Leverkusen would of been good too but he's committed himself to his club now and is injured. Haha I was gutted when Song left, why weren't you?

They're masters of their own downfall so I can't help but get some kind of sadistic pleasure out of their multiple rejections too. Letting Pogba leave is their biggest mistake imho; I'd have him in the AFC team anyday.
