Can someone help me with question 17c on the specimen calculator paper. I can't seem to visualise which angle I am supposed to work out
Thanks in advance

The two planes are the base and one of the sides of the pyramid.

Specifically, I'd make a midpoint M between B and C, then you are looking for angle VMX

Mm can you send a picture of the bit I am looking at? Is it x to midpoint of BC and V to Midpoint BC? Is that the triangle? :s-smilie:

Yep. There are some other triangles you can do it with and get the right answer, but that's the easiest one to do it with because you've already got two sides (and a right angle).

I'll try and do a picture, but I'm not 100% how to.

I've done that paper but haven't got around to marking it yet.

I've worked it out as angle DNB, which I did as (180-CNB). I'll actually start marking my paper I guess then come back to you.

The yellow rectangle is the plane CDHG, the blue triangle is the plane MNB. The obtuse angle between them is the green angle marked on the left side.
