Heard back from another job - rejected because someone just beat me to the position :sigh:

That's crap, hopefully there will be more. Also putting your cv up on these websites seem to actually work. I had office angels call me asking if I could start a temp job immediately, but I'm going on holiday next week. So maybe try that too, specialised ones if you're degree is a very specific one.
Been applying for jobs since December and I haven't officially graduated. Had one offer but the guy was sleazy so turned it down. Other than that it's all rejection..

Yea I don't really like London too too busy, saying that I'm applying to grad jobs there.
A 2.2 ruled me out of loads of jobs so instead after I graduated I stayed with gf in University town and temped for a year to save up for a three month trip to USA then found a graduate level job when I got back to UK.
Where are my 2014 graduates at? And how is life treating you?
Don't forget the ones from 2013!

Got my results couple weeks ago. Feel more motivated applying for jobs now I know I got a good grade and stand a decent chance.

But still don't really know what I wanna do.

Still lacking drive to apply since most graduate schemes seem to open their applications in september.

Signing on JSA soon I think

May as well try find a standard job to get by till I find a good graduate one.

Join the club  I envy those who had a set plan at fourteen or whatever. Sounds like a fair plan. I was extremely lucky to get a part time job for a few weeks with a family member (seriously is there any other way of getting a job these days???) but that will be ending soon and wasn't much hours anyway :/. I've been applying for grad roles with SMEs and been sending out some speculative applications to see if that actually works

Congrats on your good grade  I dunno why but not many graduate schemes I've seen so far excite me. I've mostly been applying to graduate roles and paid internships at SMEs. Ah the job center, good luck, hopefully you get a good advisor.

I'm guessing you meant always rather than ashtrays  It's been quite the opposite for me, been rejected from Tesco more times than I've had birthdays

Cheers. I'm in same position, I haven't seen much schemes that stirred any excitement within me. I'd love to get a decent internship and build relevant exp but not sure where to look for SMEs. It's all new to me atm lol

Have a look on Graduate Talent Pool if you haven't already and see if anything there catches your interest or Step. You could also try speculative apps to businesses in your local area that your interested in. I can't vouch that actually works but some swear by it.
SMEs do hire lots of graduates but they are rarely advertised. I agree with Who?Knows. Once you've identified some employers why not send a speculative application?
