It's about personality not looks. Has you get older your looks will fade, but your true personality will never change

Thanks. That is very true but I've always felt like having scars sort of put me in another category altogether in terms of looks. Yes, people say they don't mind little imperfections but a scar is something that is hardly ever discussed. When it is discussed its always 'scars make a guy look masculine' etc but what about when its on a girl? I think having a scar kinda puts you at the bottom of the barrel in terms of looks.

Definitely not. If I found a person attractive, I wouldn't even care about a scar. I mean why would I? If I think they're beautiful and are a lovely person, nothing else would matter. Trust me, don't ever think you are at the 'bottom of the barrel'. If a person likes you and is a nice, decent person, they won't care. And if anybody ever did, they are not worth your time!
Yes, I have.

Yea, she did. She was the most popular person in the class and was very friendly and bold. No one cared about her scars and she didn't care either. The scars didn't affect her.

Wow, that's really great. I wish I could be like her. I don't even see how its possible to be that confident with a scar. I literally have like zero friends because I can't speak to people because I'm trying to prevent them from seeing the scar even though they probably can either way. Doesn't really help that people stare and say hurtful things about the scar.
Scar's don't make someone unattractive. OP you'll be fine!
Can always PM me if you want to as me what I think too lol.

I don't know. She told me that her family were always encouraging her to socialise and be bold.

I guess you could say autism is kinda like my scar too. I sometimes have people staring at me and saying hurtful things about my behaviour no matter how much I try to cover it up. When I explain it to them, sometimes they might laugh in my face but you meet people like them throughout your life but I've also met great and accepting people who are wonderful. But I suppose you've also got to learn to accept yourself for who you are.

My classmate had great personality and she'd explain her scar to people who asked her about it and that was it. She'd be back to socialising again. If you let your personality shine through, then your scar will mean nothing to people. May I ask how old you are?
It can't be just me that thinks scars are kinda cool?

When it comes to attractiveness i don't think a single thing on your face would sway someone. Theres the rest of your body too, some people really like legs, some like bums, some like boobs etc etc.

Personality always makes a difference too,i know i will see someone as more attractive if i like their personality

No as I'm a guy with a scar on mine. I'd like to think we would have something in common and can exchange stories. I don't see the issue really. If someone judges me purely due to a scar on my face they're not worth my time. If I judge others for the same reason then I'm not worth their time. I think its more a sign of uniqueness and I'd like to know the story behind it tbh.

Would you date a girl that had a very noticeable scar on her face which couldn't be improved upon with surgery etc? Have you ever found a girl with a noticeable scar attractive? I'm talking about hypertrophic/keloid type of scars

DM me a picture and I'll tell you honestly if you want. Don't think it would though

Not just you lol
If it's ugly, the answer would be "NO". Ugly scars can't turn me on. But that doesn't mean I can't like or love that girl. Love and lust are much different.

Any decent person/person worth dating wouldn't mind. I have quiet a large scar across and on my eye, very noticeable to the extent where I use to miss any events which required dressing up because I was so self-conscious about it, I wouldn't even leave my house on some days because of it. My girlfriend doesn't mind though.

Every scar is an ugly scar though? But yeah I get what you mean about love and lust being different things.

aha thanks but its kinda pointless because I know what your answer would be anyway.
No because i am straight. If it was a bloke with a scar then it wouldn't put me off dating him.

You're right about the fact that there will always be people who will say hurtful things to you in life. I guess most people will experience it at some point because there will always be someone who doesn't like something about you or is just plain mean. I'm 17.

I know how you feel about not wanting to leave the house sometimes. There are times when I can't bear the thought of going to school because I felt that bad about it. I have a question. Have you always felt bad about your scar or was it a particular incident that caused you to feel bad about it? I don't know if that makes sense.

It was due to an accident I had when I was younger. I didn't really think much of it but when I was younger and other children realised that my eye looked "funny" they would point and make a huge issue about it. They wouldn't say anything nasty as such but just been highlighted out from the rest like that made to feel like you're abnormal is not a nice feeling at all.

Then as I got older and I would be walking along, sometimes children would kind of get scared (I looked a bit like Le Chiffre from Casino Royale).

Recently though it's not much of an issue, I've made a lot of changes in my life recently, eating healthier, training regularly, working hard and doing well in school and my girlfriend essentially just being there as someone to talk to has really helped me boost my confidence.
Yh looks are not that important in a relationship. You've got to fancy them, but you could go out with a gorgeous supermodel and realise they have the personality of a doorknob.
