How can I rebel against my parents?

Depending on how far away from the uni you are and how much pocket money you've got saved up; move out anyway. Part time work'll help your rent and then you'll realise that you were better off the way things were.

Just imagine like a family dinner or something and OPs sitting there with all these partners and the parents are fully fuming at their rebellious child xD

and the noise in the bedroom would really grind their gears too :tongue:

I am 18 and starting uni soon. During Alevels, I thought going to uni would be the perfect excuse to finally move out, but unfortunately due to being rejected by unis, I am now going to uni in my town. So basically I'm gonna be living with my parents.
I'm Asian so my parents are strict as hell. I couldn't go to prom, they raise their eyebrows when I want to go out with friends, I always have to wear what THEY want and so on.
But now I want things to change, I want to let them know those oppressing values don't work on me. When I join uni, I want to change and rebel.

My other relatives are pretty chilled out so if my parents start to complain too much about the new me, I'm just gonna tell about their forceful attitude to my relatives and they will do something about it.

But how can I start?

Don't be an idiot and rebel. Have an honest conversation with them like an adult without getting heated, explain things from your point of view and if they don't listen or refuse to listen then tell them you're moving out.
This is coming from a person with equally strict parents of S.Asian decent.
