Ross Mccormack is going to Fulham for £11m. £10m for Giroud was an absolute steal in comparison even if he isn't quite the standard we need to be on top again.

This is why I prefer buying foreign than British at times. Ross McCormack is now the 8th most expensive British striker in history behind Carroll, Rooney, Bent, Shearer, Fletcher, Sturridge & Fowler. Let's not forget Sturridge was £12M, so Liverpool got a bargain. Leeds are laughing all the way to the bank.

chelsea reach the champions league semi final and could have grabbed the league with eto, ba and torres leading the line. giroud still scores only 3 less than all of them combined in the PL. inb4 including champions league because look at the state of chelseas group + the fact they got 4 extra games.

obvs there are better strikers but it aint the worst if giroud is there next season with ample rotation options.

67% overall pass completion is a ****ing joke. How anyone can defend his stupid flicks with that statistic is hilarious. You're the guy who defended the **** arteta produced as well so it doesn't surprise me

I hope not. I really don't think he's good enough for us, not to be leading our attack anyway. However, I'm realistic and know that he will. But we've gotta buy someone quality who can challenge him for that position. Sanchez and another forward, someone like Remy.

people been saying it for years, yet we still make it.

we're on the up, the only way i see it is that we're going to gradually improve as we have been doing for the last 2 seasons in terms of performance. not worried at all.

I think UTD will get into the top 4 with Liverpool making way. I just can't see you guys getting in there without Suarez. Such a loss of a player.

Squaka is a very useful tool

Giroud excels in every department...but that's none of my bussiness

Stats don't really tell the whole story do they? If you watch Giroud play then the limitations are plain to see. Even his own team mates avoid passing to him at times. Would you honestly trust Giroud to convert a 1v1 with the keeper in a big match? He's bottled those kind of situations time and time again.

I will never forget when he got through on goal vs Cardiff and stopped playing in acres of space because he expected to be called offside, despite the ref never blowing tbe whistle.

I don't think so, we've got a settled squad and manager who will carry on from last season. Were bringing in extra quality that will be spread out over the pitch instead of one player. There's a chance it could backfire but it was more to with our system itself rather than relying on Suarez magic. We dealt well enough without Suarez aswell tbh (Sterling and Sturridge carried us at times).

Plus, barring 4 or 5 players Uniteds squad is atrocious.
