Does anyone know if Channel 4 will be putting this series online? 4oD seems to have been restricted outside the UK.

God, I'm so sure Lauren has an account on TSR I'm sure shes the kind of person to post here. She is just so annoying, "me me me me me, wahhh wahhh, I dont drink, here are some depressing quotes for twitter, daniel i'm lonely, daniel lets go for a walk so I can tell you how much i hate life." I understand everyone doesn't want to join the mainstream uni culture, that's fine but her approach to this was so wrong. Even at the start when shes at the bottom of the stairs, this is just so passive agressive I find - go and socialise, or politely ask to get through to your room you awkward little girl.

Aiden is just a massive douche, being a "LAD!" - people like this get annoying fast... Josie is your typical modern day Christian, visits church in times of despair, later that week goes out and gets her brains smashed out by boys she just met...Now lets get onto "Mads" or "Madz" what a terrible nickname for starters... pretty much just an average girl really I haven't got much to say for her. Daniel well done to you mate for tolerating Lauren as long as you did, you're a real nice chap and you done the right thing telling her to jog on after she got far too clingy. Also that Nazi pre-drink game wasn't really funny

I totally agree about Lauren she didn't have the best approach and loved playing the victim. Very self centred and loved gaining attention.

How is it passive aggressive to be afraid of wading through a sea of drunk people? Have you ever tried politely asking drunk freshers to do something? They wouldn't even have seen her.

Yes I have, and this is what most people would do. Whatever you say you can't deny that she could have dealt with this situation better but she lacked the confidence perhaps, so she decided to take an awkward stance at the bottom of the stairs.
Lauren took her approach to uni all wrong. I mean come on, those Eeyore quotes were ridiculous. I understand the social anxiety that comes for many starting university, but burying your head in a hole and expecting things to get better is just silly. She was also too clingy and negative to Daniel which would have been very annoying for him when he was trying to settle himself in at uni.

Aiden was an idiot as I think we all agree, but at least he got himself tested for STIs.
Perhaps she wasn't always negative and that she was just anxious: but I would suggest she also try speaking to other students in forums etc

Yes, they're always extremely friendly and courteous.

Freshers are normally so nervous and seeking of validation that if you confidently told them to jump out of the window they probably would so as not to offend you.

They might be drunk, that doesn't mean they're ********s.
this program was really good at summing up typical freshers week.

lauren is the typical TSR user, not drinking, not getting involved...you just feel worse for it, even if you think you're the most awkward person ever, you'll be alright after a few drinks so just get it down you (even if you don't like the taste) then stop after like 3 drinks or something before you're properly drunk. was in her position exactly myself on multiple occasions and eventually realised you make more of a fool of yourself by doing what she was doing than just getting involved and regretting it later (even if you hate it).

I also think not getting involved in the nazi game and getting so upset was stupid. as a first impression especially you come across uptight. we all know the nazis and (especially hitler) was a bit of a wrong 'un. a smart person would realise they are not nazi sympathisers (but eaqually, I doubt it was satire) but merely freshers trying to prove how funny they are in a frankie boyle shock humour (and it isn't shocking anyway) kind of way.

the others just came across as typical freshers/students-hypocrites, exaggerators, and generally not that intelligent (outside of perhaps studying enough to pass exams, they seemed to know nothing) and eagar to come across as cool and approachable.

even some of the smaller details that may have acted as "filler" for the show were really funny because of how true they were. people sitting around on the first day not talking with the awkward atmosphere, someone bringing a tin of celebrations for "everyone" to try to butter people up, people sitting on the floor to prove how approachable and bohemian they are (not talking about the drinking in the hallway scene), and the awkward handshake and wink thing that adrian did, basically the gimmicks people try to make themselves stand out with, also during that scene one guy being over eager to shake peoples hands which was equally hilarious.
Lauren is soooo annoying. She needs a reality check.

Josie is OK. She seems naive.

Aiden is annoying too.
