I've had people you would consider best friends but I don't really keep in contact with them any more *sigh*

Some of them did become dick heads once in high school.

The closest I do now is someone I met in first year of uni.

I met my best friend on my first day at my new school in year 4. It was a new country for me, new language, and I was very, very scared I'd be lonely. But I met my best friend there.
At my job, a little over a year and a half ago. I thought he was weird and I even said we wouldn't be friends.
Had always been acquaintances, and tbh i secretly didn't like her much and the group fell apart after a massive argument. Then 2 years later we started talking again and then I realised I was silly for judging her without really knowing her at first. Now I think she has a crush on me so it's getting awkward.... but I suppose thats how opposite-gender friendships tend to end up! (Not that watching Friends has influenced my opinion :shifty: )
