They look like degrees that are most likely to me

I dont think anywhere near as likely as a medicine/dentistry degree.

highest earners will be the top end finance/maths grads. but there will be a higher % of medics who are 50k+

Do you reckon dentistry grads will be near the finance/maths grads, those who go into implantology/ortho etc
Investment banker, bank manager a lot of jobs around the financial area are high paid.

Business is also a high paid sector setting up your own successful business would give you a large pay cheque (if successful of course)

Law is another one with judges being paid the most.

Obviously, but the thread doesn't specifically say that are as likely as medicine or dentistry so I thought they were valid choices

I think most (all?) engineering fields have a high average earning potential. Certainly software engineering (my field). I think STEM degrees in general have a good return.

Law and Economics - top 5 no doubt.

Thats why I adressed this in the post apart from medicine and dentistry, all other degrees' worth is based on the university its from.
I think a lot of people dont realise how much 50k really is on TSR too. Outside of London, 50k is a SERIOUSLY good salary.

But in London it is crap.
Law, Economics, IR, Maths

Indeed it is, it just isn't worth living in London IMHO.

Veterinary science (idk how much they earn), maths at a TOP uni, aeronautical / mechanical / chemical engineering if you go into a good company.
These are the main ones I think

ortho and brain surgeons will get closeish to the top finance/maths grads but won't beat them.
A higher % of imp/ortho will earn high but maths/finance will earn higher.
You will never beat an Investment Bankers pay

From what I've heard/seen Vets aren't paid even close to dentists/doctors. Have no idea why.

Brain surgeons aren't actually paid that much VERY surprisingly. Most if not all their work is in the NHS and so they will be paid ~100k as a consultant. A dermatologist makes more than a brain surgeon in the UK since theres more scope for private practice and their hours are most likely a lot better.
Orthodontists almost exclusively work privately and so their pay is a lot more.
My fiance did Maths he's on 40k a year now and hopes to do contracting in 2 years where the pay is up to 650 a day!!!

yes, they're probably quite likely.
Are they as likely as medics/dentists?
From what I've seen earning 60k as an engineer is usually only for very experienced individuals ~15 years +

Not sure about dentist.. But probs not for medic. The average salary for a Jnr Doctor is round about 24k

Docs have a high pay ceiling which is basically 100% likely to be reached, thats where the difference comes in.
Dentists get paid 30k in their training year, after that salary averages at 60k. 80/90k when they're partner of a practice.
Specialists and 100% private dentists get paid more obvs.

Neurosurgeons aren't that well paid compared to other surgical specialties, their only source of private income is spinal surgery the procedures in which aren't crazy expensive (to the patient/insurance company). If you want to make money in surgery plastics or orthopaedics is how you do it
