Going up to her directly and asking for the contact details of her parents when you barely know her with the intention of marriage is creepy, it wouldn't hurt to get to know her, that's not haraam, you don't have to be hanging out alone together, it could be in public with friends etc..

I think that's a perfectly fine method, you get to know her well and it won't be creepy with a direct marriage proposal before you even get to know her.. I wouldn't mind something like that (I'm Muslim)

no. the fact that they're wearing a hijab shows that there would probably be some clashes in terms of religion and lifestyle, and more importantly, I personally think it looks ugly and acts as a symbol of oppression and inequality.

Whats racist about that.. My mom was a reverty and well i have always preferred wearing the hijab myself, so i have never been pushed into anything. And if we are talking about dating, well ofcourse its not ok with parents.. I have many white guy friends athiests and christains, my dad knowd about them too and hasnt asked me not to talk to them.. They just dont want us to waste our time with some white guy we might not marry or any guh for that matter..


If my parents said 'you can't marry a brown person' they'd be racist. Its no different.
