Biomedical Sciences, Biology

Can you tell, is it hard to study BS or Biology in UK universities? What requirements do I need?

Not sure how hard it is, but individual unis want different requirements. Some may ask for two sciences, some may want three. There might be particular A levels needed like biology or chemistry. Think about which UK universities you are interested in, and then visit their websites and check out the entry requirements. Or post the names here and I'll see what I can find for you :h:

At university of Kent they require BBB including either Biology, human biology or applied double science award. (See here)

At University of Coventry they require CCC including Biology (see here)

At Northumbria university they require 300 UCAS points with 100 points from Biology (See here)

Ahhh, that is referring to A-Levels and you're an international student?

This year will be my last in gymnasium. I don't really understand what does your second question mean, but I will try to answer. I am not sure, which courses do I want to study, but I tend to biomedical sciences. Did I answer properly? :biggrin:

Right, what exams do you take where you are from?
For example, here in England we take A-Levels.

Okay, I have researched it a bit - are your exams graded on the 10 point scale still?

Well, a 9 or 10 is equivalent to an A/B grade here.

Which means:

Kent - 9,9,9 (including a 9 in Biology)
Coventry - 8,8,8 (including an 8 in Biology)
Northumbria - 7,8,8 (including an 8 in Biology)

I've said the requirements for Kent :redface:

10 = A
9 = A/B
8 = B/C
7 = C/D
6 = D
5 = E
4 and under = Fail

Sorry someone might have answered but I'll respond anyway :h:

Applied double science award is an A level course. I believe it's coursework based.

300 UCAS points are the points you get from your A level courses, which are based on the grades you achieve. :smile:

And A,B and C are the grades you receive for each course.
