I don't know if this is going to end up a scam or what to do?

Whether this is a scam or not, it's probably not going to benefit you getting attached to someone you've never met! But, scam artists can make a living just by scamming alone and so they have the time to talk to you for a while, get you interested and comfortable, and then begin asking for money. They need this bond to guilt trip you.

Probably true, she does work as a Au Pair at times so they are employed. I just can't think of why you'd tell somebody you know obviously fancies you that you ****ed your employer a couple of nights before other than to lead up to "I need money for this kid".

I met a girl online, spoke to her for a while, and now we've been talking on Skype almost daily for a few weeks.

I've never met her, she lives in a difference country. She's really nice and I love talking to her, as well as being pretty attractive. We aren't dating or anything, although she's asked me to fly and visit her several times
However recently she just informed me she slept with the person she's been working for, and that she thinks she's pregnant, and I'm the only person she's told.

I don't know why she told me at all, and what she expected as a reponse, I honestly have no clue, however I was nice and all as I could be although I have no idea what to say.

She constantly goes on about how little money she has and needs money, although she never exactly says what for (I presume rent and stuff).

Is this beginning to look like its going to end up being a scam, where she starts asking for money etc to help her as she's already said the potential father won't?

I really like her, but I don't know? Any advice on what exactly I should do?

Definitely sounds like fraud tbh. You have to remember how clever and manipulative people are when it comes to taking people's money. Also human instinct is a powerful thing too, if you think its dodgey it probably is

Its gunna sound harsh, but I would break it off asap. You don't want to be in the position where you know its fraud but you have fallen for this person/idea of a person but would do anything to please them. Sounds far fetched but it happens!

She shouldn't even really need money for a kid just a few days after getting pregnant. To me it really sounds like a lie, either to get money from you, or even just to get sympathy. No matter how much this girl has befriended you you can't be sure that this story is true, as unfortunately a LOT of people lie online just because they can. Be careful!

She's got another kid she had when she was 15 so maybe its that.
I understand where your coming from, if she asked me again to go and meet her should I do it then so I know it wasn't a scam, or is that likely to be a final step in the scam itself?
I'd keep talking to her but under no circumstances send her $$.

MY ADVICE, and I hope you take it: Don't trust her UNTIL you meet her in person and get the 'she likes me' vibes.

It's likely a scam though, so keep your cards to yourself and don't let her leech out your credit car details et al!

I dunno, she could be?

Wasn't where I met her though and I wouldn't know. Porn is free?

Definitely sounds like a scam. I guarantee she will ask for money. Keep going, but if she or most likely a he asks for money. Cut off all forms of communication. No hesitation.

Yeh porn is free, but people will pay these girls a **** load of money for a nipple.
She's maybe even a bloke....I'd go for 'its great and admirable that you're so determined to be independent and support yourself' 'I don't know how I'd cope..I struggle financially too and have giant student debts'.

If she's asking you to meet her personally then there's a chance she's legitimate as i can't imagine a scammer wanting to meet up with a person they're trying to scam! But again just think about whether it's worth flying to a foreign country to meet a girl. Take your time i guess, don't rush into anything but i guess you know that!

I don't know why you all seem to think she is a bloke lol?

I've seen & spoken to her on Skype, as in spoken to, not text chat or just IMing

It doesn't matter how she'd take it. She shouldn't be asking people on the internet who she hasn't met before, for money. She should be worrying about how he's taken it (if she even exists). It's the internet; it doesn't matter at all and it's obviously a scam to get money from whoever she can get to feel sorry for her invented story.

Read the OP. She hasn't asked the OP. She hasn't even subtly suggested that the OP should send her money. She hasn't so much as sneezed in the OP's direction that the OP should send her money.

All we know is that she has confided in the OP that she's struggling with money.

I have read the OP. Anyone with a brain cell can tell where this is going; girl on the internet makes friends with gullible guy, sweet talks him, is nice and funny with him, builds up online relationship with him, subtly hints at money troubles, explains money troubles, repeats cycle until is sent money, deletes and blocks guy. The end.

It's obvious.

I'm not going to send her money. I was just trying to grasp if other people thought I'd just met somebody who was really struggling, or telling a tale to try eventually and get money.
Why can't believe just be normal and get relationships in the real world.. it's not freaking hard.
So I have messaged her and told her basically I don't have any money and can't help her with her problems, I'd like to still get to know her but if that means she's done thats fine. I put it a bit more elinquently (I'm sure thats a word, like nicer?) than that (I think I did anyway I tried to).

So yeah, guess that's going to go down like a something in a house on fire (I don't know the whole saying :P), no point entertaining a scam that's going to cost me money for the reward of fake friendship I suppose, thanks for the enlightenment.
