Raised as a devout in a fervently Muslim community and Muslim, whilst being tormented to almost depression with a zealot parent, I have surprisingly discarded all aspects of faith.

Both are not cool. One is compliant. But the other is, much to my delight tormented by skepticism toward the faith.
