Cryptome sent a letter to various sources in possession of the documents, including The New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Barton Gellman, Laura Poitrias, Glenn Greenwald, ACLU, EFF and others demanding an accounting. The allegation about ISIS and al-Baghdadi, however, pairs up with other information demonstrating ISIS is an intelligence asset.

Mainly on the grounds of gathering extremists into one place. I've read that ISIS can be quickly sabotaged by essentially bribing tribal sheikhs, and if so using their intelligence you can make a huge dent in extremist groups. I wouldn't support allowing ISIS to exist in perpetuity, as it forces it's population under a brand of islam which I see as backwards and evil. However, regardless of whether or not the creation of the state was due to some machinations by the west, allowing it to exist in perpetuity seems inconsistent with current events.

Tbf, the CIA only admitted quite recently that it had something to do with the Iranian coup d'état that they orchestrated, along with MI6
