Thinking of moving to Dubai/UAE post graduation:?

Pharmacy is a blue collar job now.

I want to move there too after I graduate. it's an amazing place
I went there a few months ago and loved it but i think it may be too hot to live there in the summer times

is it a nice place to live:?

I lived there like 13 years ago, it's a completely different world; mainly as in it's become much more developed and cityish if you get me.

uk is grand but im young so why not get a bit of money and get to know another culture

I'm originally from North Wales but have lived in the Middle East for 6 years and Dubai for 3 of those years (I live here currently but will be going to Uni in the UK). I love it here and will miss it very much, but I have a few friends who didn't like it and got home sick very quickly. I think it depends on your personality~

For a short time and if you are below thirty Dubai is great. It is not as conservative as you think it is and you can get virtually everything that you think you can't get. Beer and spirits are freely available in bars. Wine is expensive. You can even get pork sausages in Waitrose. All apartments have air-conditioning. It is quite cheap to live there and you will have a great social life if you want one. If I was your age - I would be there in a shot

Blue collar because thats how employers treat pharmacists/pay pharmacists nowadays in the UK.
Abroad pharmacists are given a lot more respect and a lot higher salary, pharmacy sucks in the UK.

im 19 and im not sure about the social side..im a white catholic..wont exactly mix in with the local crowd..doubt theyd date a white lad
cheap is good..going for money and experience as I said..the no tax should be good and the property tax can be avoided by renting..wont be another 5 years yet tho till I qualify!

The "local crowd" tends to be expats - you find all sorts of people. The Emiratis are really nice too. They are very tolerant and surprisingly western when they want be.

There is a Catholic church in Dubai so if you are religious you won't miss out. Just rip up all the ideas that you have about the middle east - it is nothing like you imagine it.
