Without wanting to be a dick, I'd build on this and ask: has conversion been good for your self-esteem? All the attention at the mosque, all the positive reassurances and embraces of fellow Muslims, how does it affect you, your state of mind, your ego?

I thought that was the case, so I researched it, it is not true for converts, it is the way to go, but not required. This is only what I found, I did find people who stated it was required, but the consensus by the best evidence is TMG is ok if he is scared of the knife.

When my son was in hospital, there were two brothers having it done, under tens, I saw them when they came back, they were in real pain, it ain't nice, no matter how simple the procedure.
