What is taught at Mathematics Degree level

I am interested to know.

I am fascinated with people that are great at Mathematics, quite a brain!

Give me a list. I guess they won't teach Fractions and Decimals at Degree level HAHAHAHA

Calculus
Analysis
Abstract algebra (group theory, ring theory, field theory etc.)
Topology
Statistics and probability
Number theory
Discrete mathematics
Mechanics
Mathematical physics

We just learn to add really big numbers in our heads.

Yeah I did. Although it was more mentioned in passing (as in pointing out it is the generalisation of the construction of the rationals from the integers) followed by looking at the the two binary operations on the field of fractions, as opposed to thoroughly being looked at.

If SOMEBODY got a 3rd at Mathematic Degree level are they still good enough :smile:

It takes 3 years of training to learn it. Sorry.

Maths is one of the hardest degrees, you have to work hard and have great intelligence. I have to put in like 6+ hours a day for 10 weeks leading up to exams to get the scores I do, so a third is still okay. But good enough for what? As someone else asked.
