Difference between A level mechanics in Maths (M1) and Physics (One module)

I'm considering taking both maths and physics. Both units contain a mechanics module. My school offers mechanics one in maths, how similar is this to the physics unit. Is one easier? Will one aid me in the other?

At least for the specification I did, M1 is infinitely harder than mechanics in physics. They're not even remotely comparable. At least for OCR B, doing M1 basically teaches everything you'd ever need for Mechanics in Physics (at AS anyway, there are a few extra - easy - things in A2 Physics).
