No one would dispute that claim. The male sex drive is on average much stronger than the female sex drive for reasons we can biologically explain. That's why these safeguards are needed.

And yet rape is more prevalent in these countries where it is enforced
Original post by itsRochana
Well then it makes muslim women responsible for men's thoughts and actions. That's the issue

Yes it does. Problem? It's a fact. Radical feminists love to ignore facts. That's a problem.

All this crap about rape is never the victim's fault collapses when you realise rape is a crime like any other and there are ways you can protect yourself from crime by making yourself less of a target.

End of.

You're just another girl who thinks Islam is all evil wherever it goes and you know how Muslim society thinks about rape? Hahahaha what a laughable claim. In Islam, rapists are stoned to death and the act of rape is arguably seen as much more despicable by us Muslims than anyone else on the planet.

So you couldn't find evidence for your claim and had to pull a statistic from Sweden as if to prove a point. Google 'strawman argument' please. As for searching porn or whatever in Pakistan, that proves nothing. Correlation doesn't imply causation, you have no hard solid evidence of that and even if there was, what is the harm of porn?

Weak evidence because you've lived there, am I suppose to take your word for it, the chance of you lying and being bias to support your view is high.
Got any actual strong evidence?

Those questions do not back up your statement.

You can't go around making claims without any strong evidence, and then say I'm not here to start an argument.

Ok :yy:

You know I'm right and anyone with half a brain knows too, I'm not going to drag this on and disrupt the purpose of the thread so ill be the bigger person and end it here.

The hijab is far from a preventative measure and probably makes things worse but believe what you will.

:lolwut:

You are now telling me what I think?

Translation: I can't back up my weak argument with decent evidence so I'm going to stop replying.

Lol not true, I know a ton of people and somehow people seem to place an outrageous amount of trust in my. Across a sample size of 200 guys the biggest pervs aren't Muslim and otherwise i would say it follows a normal distribution.

It's natural for guys to have sexual thoughts about girls, they're not getting any anyway. can't girls accept it, just dress modestly and save the boobs for the nightclubs.
Whoa man! Your eyes are perfect

I have lived in such a country, and although I'm not a Muslim I know how society thinks towards women who are raped.

Majority of women are too scared to report a rape there, why do you think places like Sweden have the highest number of reported rapes? Do rapes occur on a higher number in Sweden than anywhere in the world? Again, why is the most porn searched in majority Muslim countries like Pakistan? Repression.

I have evidence for those two claims I've stated or you can search on google yourself if you please.

See above.

Edit: I'm not here to start an argument, just pointing stuff out. We probably should just end this here to avoid a thread closedown.

Your idiocy is astounding, my dear friend. The initial argument was that 'the hijab prevents rape' - you give 'evidence' as to the number of reported rapes in so and so country. Just because women do not report rapes in 'Islamic countries' it does not mean that such countries have high numbers of rapes occurring. It could be the case or it could be to the contrary. You have not given sufficient evidence to disprove the comment 'the hijab prevents rape'. Now, I advise you to get on your bike.

Do you think the hijab is some sort of anti-rape device?

Rape isn't about attraction, but rather control and power.
Yo people, don't ruin the thread talking about Muslims again....

Thank you.

These prats thinking a woman wearing a veil will prevent a man who wants to rape and dominate a woman.

Sorry but you cannot quantify rape in to fixed emotions and descriptives. It could be about power, but it could be about attraction too. Or it could be about something else. Rapes occur for many many reasons.
3:30 am i can't be bothered with this level of stupidity

LOL you think rape is about domination to perpetuate the myth of the patriarchy when it's obviously just down to a high libido and lack of self control and respect for the law/others which leads to a lack of control and excessive need for sexual satisfaction.

I feel as if this is a wrong time to post a picture of myself as a hijabi after reading some of the comments on this thread and seeing a fellow sister being led to believe that she has to take her picture down. I wrote a massive rant essay, was about to post, and my internet crashed. I was about to now write another one but I understand that it was unnecessary and probably would have made the thread more serious. All I am saying is this, IK wear the hijab for purely spiritual reasons, it's a connection/bond between me and God. Why is it wrong for a hijabi to post her pic online when it is not obligatory on us to cover our whole face? And anyways, this is not a thread for girls solely to "show off their beauty" so why is it wrong for a hijabi to post? Anyways lool I look like a poser knob in these pictures. ( for anyone who wants to know, i'm merely wearing lipstick  ) To balance my knobieness, here's a picture of my baby brother lool.

Spoiler

(Think i'm attaching wrong haha, could someone attach properly for me please?)
