How much does italian accent suck ?

I have an italian accent and I hate it.
Alright not the kind of " mafia accent " you see in movies but I still don't like it.
It's kinda mild but it does come out when I speak english :mad:

Pls tell me there are worse accents

ps: I actually got teased by this Tasmanian guy once about my accent :cool:

At uni my personal tutor is Italian and she has a strong Italian accent when speaking English. It sounds quite cool so don't worry about it

Personalmente a me fa schifo l'accento italiano ma se un italiano riesce a imparare bene l'inglese con un buon accendo credo sia solo questione di genetica... Io tra 2 mesi sarò a Briston per prendermi un gap year prima dell'Uni e spero di impararlo senza accenti imbarazzanti...

I'm Scottish too and 100% agree with you. I love the accent but it comes across as so scummy and cringy a lot of the time on tv/radio/films.
