and end up with an effete male loser who cries when you dont return his messages

That wasn't in reference to him, actually. Don't be a dick.

in reference to who :s-smilie:

you want a guy to show his feelings, so you probably want an effete loser who cries when you dont return his messages.

im just saying, you say that you do want a guy to show his feelings, when you really don't.

Oh sorry. I thought that was a dig at the guy I was just talking to in the thread. My bad!

Not necessarily cry when I don't return his messages but it's nice when someone shows they care - this can be done without crying!

Er yeah what are you? Rocks
I probably seem to go in the stoic camp, but it's natural and suits me, rather than me forcing it back. I have been sad, yet I have not cried in years (I'm 20), but I don't understand how suddenly becoming emotional in a really overt way, would improve my life or me as a person.

To be honest, I do slightly think men who are really 'loud' about their feelings, have really shallow fleeting emotions

Why do some people think 'showing emotion' means crying at everything?

No, because at least one person in the relationship needs to control their emotions.

crying as in being weak or unable to contain their emotions and deal with things with equanimity (at least on the outside)

this. two submissive and emotional people in a relationship is a bad relationship.

Yeah. I'm sick of trying to work people out.

If they do start sharing their emotions, you won't find the men very attractive. You will be disgusted by them.

It is vital that they do not display their emotions.

This. If we show what we actually feel like/think like every woman would be a lesbian

Emotional maturity emotional instability.

Being unable to show emotion is both a sign of, and can lead to, an underlying issue.

Only if they want to.
Victorian men were the right balance of stoicism and emotional intelligence.

Victorian men never had any problems expressing their love for their partners in a romantic way. Just Google Victorian love letters and you will see just how much better equipped they were than modern men, who not only lack stoicism, but emotional intelligence.

Modern men men think texting a picture of their cock is romantic.
No.

Ah kk, neither do girls but :dontknow:. I was told yesterday a part of male pride is that if women showed less emotion we'd be more rational...
