What are the links between the muscles and nerves?

Is muscle weakness linked to nerve weakness?

Can the nerves in the eye be fine but the eyelid muscles are weak?

Weakness can originate from problems with the muscle, from the connection between muscle and nerve (neuro-muscular junction), from the nerve itself, from the spine or from the brain.

Two separate nerves control those two things; one controls your vision and the other your muscles within the eyelid. Therefore, it is theoretically possible for one to be affected but the other to be fine. Depending on how much detail you need, you can ask or look for more information.

Is the levator muscle controlled by nerves?
Can one have normal CT and EMG results but have a weak levator muscle.

The LPSM has complicated innervation but as with all muscles it is controlled by nerves (several small branches iirc for this particular muscle).

There are many causes of ptosis (which is what you describe to be a weak eyelid muscle). The problem could be with the muscle itself, with the nerves innervating the muscle or with other parts of the nervous system.

Without a more specific question or more details, it isn't possible to say. Perhaps look for information on ptosis (there can be partial ptosis or complete ptosis).

All muscles are controlled by nerves.

As with all of medicine, the cause of something may not always found.

I'd have thought they'd use MRI rather than CT but could be wrong.
