1. A person can work from 16 so go figure.

2. She has a partner so additional person who can also work

1) work *while on* welfare seemed like what you were implying...
2) she's not working either way so when this 20 something guy bails then she's going to become "that woman" who lives off of the backs of others because instead of getting qualifications when she could (e.g. 20~) she has to stay at home
3) if he's allowing this girl to have a child with him at 20 he can't be the sharpest tool in the shed

Actually I said one can work from 16. Nowhere does it say welfare. And she gets the same help for student finance when she goes to uni plus help from university unions for childcare etc.

How do you know he's gonna bail? Don't generalise men.

As for your final point, I don't even begin to see where you're coming from. Lots of 20 year olds have stable families. It's not up to you to say whose the sharpest tool in the shed. As long as they can support themselves and are happy, there's nothing wrong with it.

People can choose to have a child at 20 and it doesn't mean they're stupid.

Wish I had your courage, if not for societal expectations and pressure on women, I might have done the same thing.
