Perfect example right there.

Yes you may be exchanging valuable information but it has to make sense at least...

It is do u think its right to discourage high levels of achievement like AAA?

good for you. i'm 22 and ive never had a paid job either, though ive done lots of voluntary work.
not everyone can be as lucky as you.

What do u wanna do?

Crammer learnt pre essays like scripts. Got a teacher to write it i can memorise it. Simple to learn a bunch of essay that will come up.

So your basically a parrot?

Says a lot about the intelligence needed to get a 2.1 in your degree if that was all that was needed.

You know CS at aberdeen, you couldn't do that. You actually needed to know how to code.

P.S.

This thread is something else. ****ing jokers.

So .... a cleaner needs to know how to clean... But practice makes perfect, you weren't born to coding. It comes through learning, it can be learnt like any other profession. But the best coders in the best business work or have worked for the best companies. Same as football best players are at the bigger clubs.

Your attitude to work is related to relationships outside of work!

No offence mate, but you and Tom Ford were giving me a lecture about higher unis having more rigorous courses. But what the **** are they testing here?

If all you are doing at KCL is memorising a bunch of essays and than writing it down, that is hardly a sign of intelligence, rather, you are no different to a parrot.

Are we now awarding degrees based on who is a better at being a parrot?

Part of the reason why I flunked my ALs is because I had poor exam technique at the time, the education system is not a true test of intelligence for a lot of subjects outside of STEM ones. And you have proven my point.

I get every exam paper accessible hand it someone and then learn them, that is proven method. Can do that at any university, the lesser ones more so! I got an A in chemistry and biology As first sitting whats your point? Yes these baby stem subjects, waiting a2 results! University is about strategy you should have worked that out.

High levels of achievement aren't discouraged at all. A good amount of technical jobs won't really care what you got at A-level because:

a) They aren't a good indication of your ability, all the employer sees is that you managed to get AAA and it doesn't tell them in any way what you can offer on table.

b)They are more concerned about your most recent education (aka your degree) as you would have gained some skills from your degree that you could offer them and it is also more than likely that you would be applying to a job that uses your degree in some way.

Getting a good grade in your degree is one thing, but you still have a lot of work to do to prove to employers that they should hire you. There's absolutely no point in hiring someone who did Maths at Uni Of Cambridge if he/she can't even work in a team effectively, can't socialise properly with other employees, but can do all the calculations. It just makes things more expensive for the employer in terms of having to deal with lots of problems in their business because one employee doesn't have the right skills needed.

That being said things like filters, interviews etc are only there to reduce the number of applicants and single out the good ones out of the bunch who will then under go further interviews/assessment centres where only a handful will be chosen.

Yeah well, whatever, your degree sounds like a bit of a joke.

It wasn't that easy on mine and it is a lesser one by your standards.

Same as pharmacy at the best school in the country for it. I will be able to get every past paper and hand it to someone like the health studies essays and then read them and learn them like a call centre script. I can do that with CS essays, its not hard to write lines and learn, lol. Heck actors do it all the time,LMAO.

lol

This is why folks the university/education system is an absolute joke. And why employers should take UCAS points with a grain of salt.

Tom Ford I hope that you are reading this.

I can do the same with this, all essays and exam based, get someone to write the essays and learn the answers. I would get a 1st, but it wouldnt be any use to me. That is what a crammer teaches people to do or any good teacher! How to work intelligently with time.

Developers actually work on the infrastructure, not write content. That is done by the marketing department. It's their responsibility to proof read ****.
Your point is invalid.

I have said this many times, it is just one part , a minimum. Even if you do get perfect grades like I did at A-Level you are not guaranteed anything. I don't know why you are so pent up about it. Just face it, until you can get a job in one of the schemes, you are not good enough.

You are just hurt that they will not accept you, it is understandable.

What about programming practicals where you have to know how to code?

The way it works at aberdeen, if you do **** on your coursework especially in honours years, it ruins your chances for getting a 2.1

And I doubt you can do that in the ****ing hard exams in the final years.

It shows no one noticed it to change it, lack of demand. Otherwise someone would have been skeptical of it. At the same time ive gone through the course its full of essays, someone with a good memory like me could do the same and pass it with a breeze. Why do you think people do mind exercises, it helps your brain remember stuff.
Just face it Fat_Hobbit, you are not good enough to get on a grad scheme. Even if you did get the grades you'd be much older than the fresh grads who have comparable experience and great grades. Oh, and do apologise to that boy who's life you ruined. You have not exactly denied that you did.

I can say the same about you tbh. And the OP.

Yes I would have loved to have worked at IBM, but it was not meant to be.

Depends how they assess it with spps i bought a student copy and gave it to someone to do,LMAO. Same can be done with this degree of yours, i read you can buy copies of the software from the uni and do it from home, lol. I am reading it so your practicals arent that hard, like when i had lab i would set there betting on stuff or trading cfds, pretend to do the work go out then call someone then say need this. Send it to that person then get it in for the deadline, funny in it,lol. Im reading your practicals you can take them away so you could easily "outsource". Think of me like capgemmi haha, why didnt you think of this!
