It's definitely a book, and a pretty large one at that. Just mention any particular chapters you enjoy (they're all different and mostly independent of each other so you can read it out of order.)

Maybe I could link it to some sort of essayYea, it's a collection of essays. Would be good to use to explain a topic in particular that you enjoy. I've read "Code: the Hidden Language of Computer Hardware and Software" and it was also pretty good.
