Deadlifts - 110kg (1x5) PB
DB shoulder press - 20kg (5x5)
Lat pulldown - 55kg (5x5)
DB CGBP - 17.5kg (3x8)
Curls
Side raises

Why do deadlifts have to be so tough :frown:
Have done 20kg shoulder press for (4x8) before but damn that 5x5 was tough lol

I'd do deadlifts after lat pulldowns and press tbh

Deadlifts knacker everything mate

I'm usually fine with that order it's just I was on holiday for 2 weeks so lost a bit of strength!

Away on holiday again in 3 weeks for a week so gains will be lost again - first world problems lol

Personally.. Yes

However it's personal preference. I nearly always ended with Deadlifts as it just exhausted my entire posterior chain + shoulders and traps

Always deadlift first crew checking in

In reality put the lifts you want to progress in most first. Whatever your highest priority is should be trained when most fresh.
Meh I disagree... you can max out your deadlift after just about anything, however not the reverse imo. It's the reason powerlifting meets are organised the ways they are.

I can curl and do things like skullcrushers.. other than that I'm done after deadlifting lol
Think ill do the DB shoulder press first then Deadlift, really want to progress on the press

Deadlifts - 112.5kg PB
Lat pulldown - 60kg (5x5)
DB extensions - 15kg, 17.5kg, 20kg all x8
Side raises - 7.5kg (2x8) 5kg (8) 4kg (8) 3kg (12)

Fuuuaaaaaarkkk those deadlifts were hard, still gubbed from them
Tried the 22.5kg dumbbell for shoulder press lol, guess I can't progress as fast as illusionz :frown:

Very happy on the whole with that gym session :biggrin:

Progression on DB OHP is hard man. It's a 5kg jump for you on what is a weak lift anyway (OHP in general that is). You're jumping up 12.5%. FYI that's like me trying to go from deadlift 200x5 to 225x5 in a session.

I would heavily recommend using barbells if you can.

Barbells range of motion give me elbow *******s :frown: will hopefully get 4x7 next time then try the 22.5kg DBs the following time.

I do quite a wide grip on pulldowns, probably 6 inches or so away from my shoulders. This works more of the middle back supposedly and coupled with close grip t bar rows for the lats i think I fully stimulate my back. My backs definitely got thicker and wider since incorporating wide grip pulldowns and close grip rows into my routine :biggrin:

60kg (5x5) was quite easy but the next weight up is 65kg so I'm thinking I'll put a 2.5kg plate on the weight stack :smile:

Agreed with the above

For DB press work up to a few sets of 8 before progressing to 5 reps on the next weight up. You needn't have 5 x 8 but something like 8,8,8,5,5 would be enough.

When you get to 30kg though the whole thing becomes a pain in the ass due to it being hard as hell getting the weight up lol.
I found resting them on my knees and kicking up very hard is the best way.

Think it'll be a while until I get to 30kg dumbbells haha! I'll just keep adding reps and up the weight when I can
