What kind of laptop/desktop you planning on getting? Mac? Alienware? Razer Laptop?

And you are borrowing all this cash to "do" a computing degree ? Jees.

What course you planning on doing? and what postgraduate do you want to do.

I'm doing a BMus Hons in Classical singing at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Then I'd want to do the Guildhall Artist Programme in Performance.

Sounds awesome. What would you like to do for a career?

He's basically saying you are paying all this money to do a computing degree when you are asking what computer you should get.

I wasn't the one asking which computer to get though? Somebody said they are getting a new laptop and I joking said which one are you getting Alienware, Mac or Razer laptop. because there ridiculously expensive.

I wish it were per term.
For my accom at least, it's done as 1 payment per term a few weeks in, although I think it would be possible to do it some other ways. I would guess it will be the same for you.
Maintenance Loan:
Maintenance Grant: £6227
Bursaries: £0
Scholarships: £0
Savings: £0 (I do have some money saved but I'm getting barely any shifts at work and it's probably all going to go on a deposit anyway)
Money from Parents: I think they'll be making up my accommodation shortfall and they'll help me buy uni stuff

Accommodation Cost: £6739.60 (The most expensive it should get. It is my first choice which I'm slightly regretting but there should be no transport costs at least :/)
Weekly spend after Accommodation: ~£60 (depends on how many hours I do at my job)

Can't believe the amounts some people get to spend weekly, so unfair! :frown:

Are you going to be in London? There is also no guarantee that where I want to transfer to actually has a place for me so I could potentially be very screwed :/
Maintenance Loan: £3610
Maintenance Grant: £0
Bursaries: £0
Scholarships: £0
Savings: £5000 in an ISA from a part time job. I don't want to touch it though!
Money from Parents: £0
Accommodation cost £3927

Going to try and get a job, there else I won't be able to afford food! It's so annoying how everything is based on your parents income when they may not be able or willing to help you. Your loan should at least cover accommodation!
