Geez louise. So, I had my medical, the medical examiner wanted paperwork from my GP regarding my asthma as I've said. I rang the doctors surgery to get an update a couple of weeks ago and they said that because I hadn't needed to see the GP in 3+ years, they didn't have my records, which sent me into a bit of a panic. A couple of hours later, they rang me back saying that they had found them after a lot of digging about (surely it's computerised?) and that they had sent them off. Great!
Today I get a phone call from the AFCO asking me "how was the GP/paperwork finding going?"...to which I thought what? And explained that they had sent them a couple of weeks ago. I had to phone my GP who confirmed that they had definitely sent it, with tracking....so apparently, somehow, that got lost in the post. After a lot of back and forth phone calls to the AFCO and my GP, they were able to fax the record over. Nightmare! Glad its sorted.
