Will start counting lengths I think, but not sure how to keep count, any advice from anyone?

Other than I cant get an appt with a knee specialist at home until mid October, I've now got to go back tp my GP and get referred to Nottingham instead lol not much.

However I've lost 8lb this summer despite being nearly sedentary. Now 12 stone 12 lb, lightest I've been in a year lol
Got an outline of some bottom abs, dat skinny pack

I've lost a lot of size, lost fat aswell. Bit of both tbh.

Interesting where you lose muscle the most.. For me my genetic strong points seem to be triceps, shoulders and upper back. Whilst biceps and abdominals have vanished lol.
Legs have to but that's really not surprising from sitting down lots lol

Whenever I'm not sure about whether I should take time off to nurse a niggle or pain better, I always think of you, and it reminds me that taking a few days off from the gym is really nothing and I should just do it.

Yeah man, a few days vs possibly years... hmmmm

Cucumber went swimming today. 30 or 32 -> 25m lengths (I think the pool is 25m, it might be 20 and I lost count right at the end lol)
Went with parents today, Dad once upon a time used to be a very competitive regional swimmer and gave me some really good advice on technique. My left shoulder lacks a lot of ROM I think hence I have difficulty breathing doing crawl to the right.

Oly lifters - shoulder flexibility - how do I improve this?
I did some overhead squats today just with a bar. Definitely stretches the shoulders out.
Foam rolling front delts (ball), chest, stretching pec minor (easy on a door), foam rolling lats -- these are relatively quick to do but produce big improvements IMO.

And I like doing these now and then, clicks the thoracic spine nicely and gets the shoulder moving better:

Overhead squats - considering my back and knee problems... hmmmmmmm

Thanks, I need to get myself a lacrosse ball to foam roll, delts and chest

Will watch the video now

Shoulder dislocates, door jamb stretch (put your forearm on a door jamb, running parallel with it: push your chest through and away from your arm), roll the **** out of everything around your shoulders, roll T-spine if tight, hands on something high, push chest through. Loosen up first with arm circles or something.

That's what I did when I was hitting my shoulders hard, worked very well!

Went swimming again, 30 lengths again, did it in about 5-10 mins faster though.

Lots of technique training, extension and pull through especially. My problem with my shoulder flexibility is left rear/ middle delt tightness I think. Will try some of the stuff above.

Lacrosse ball for rolling delts or is it a ball shaped roller thing?

Posted from TSR Mobile
Nice

I use a massage ball with spikes on it. It's good but will make holes in clothes over time and leaves temporary red spike marks on the skin lol it pins the muscles down really well though

Lacrosse ball will do the trick. I haven't tried rolling the rear delt though. I guess you can lie on the floor? The ball might move around a bit. The side and front ones can easily be done against the inside of a door frame and wall respectively
