That sounds ****ing awful m8

Well, it might. I'll just copy paste what I replied to someone else who thought I didn't enjoy my time at uni:

"It might sound boring to you. But I can tell you I had the time of my life. There are so many societies which I joined. I went gliding, skydiving, attended a lot of performance events, went on road trips, travelled across the UK and Europe with friends, Socialised with friends every single day doing stuff from eating out to playing PS3, all-night Table Tennis sessions, etc etc"

Did any girls hit on you? How did you deal with that situation?

There never was a situation where a girl would hit on me really. As far as I know, this mainly happens in clubs and I didn't go clubbing, so there wasn't any scope for such a thing.

Did you have male friends? (has this been asked before?)

I did have a lot of male friends. Hasn't been asked before. Mainly because I had a male-dominated course. But also outside my course I got to know a lot of male friends who I regularly did stuff with.

As the title says, I (Male) went to uni,
* Never touched alcohol
* Never touched a cigarette / shisha
* Didn't do any drugs
* Never had sex
* Never went clubbing
* Didn't have a single female friend

Ask me anything

1. Did you go to the gym?

2. Did you watch porn/masturbate?

3. Do you drive?

4. What did you do on weekends? Sport?

Sounds better than getting pissed every week definitely.

Makes sense I suppose. Do you have female friends outside of uni?

Yes, I had quite a balanced friends circle during my GCSEs and A Levels. Only at uni it kinda changed.

I'm Muslim, but that's got nothing to do with that. I've done things that one isn't supposed to do as a Muslim, so if I wanted to, I would've done these as well.

Would you say that you are a devout Muslim?

1. I did indeed go to the gym during my second and third year when I had a free gym membership through my accommodation.

2. Prefer not to talk about this

3. I did drive, but I don't see what this would have to do with any of that!?

4. On weekends I did a lot of stuff with my male friends ranging from eating out, going sight-seeing, travel through Europe or UK, play sports like Table Tennis through entire nights, play PS3 all night, cook something more complex with friends, go to performance events, go shopping, attend society events such as gliding, skydiving etc.

Not really. I do take religion as a somewhat guideline to how to live your life, but I do disagree with certain things for various reasons. I'd do what I think makes sense. Also the problem with religion is the interpretation of certain things. You can pretty much interpret everything in the way you want to as the Quran isn't very clear on some issues. So, I decide to interpret them the way they make sense to me.

I think 99% of men masturbate. It's a pretty hard addiction to break. Your testosterone levels peak after a few days. If you can make it past a week, you can go much much longer. But it only takes one little image and then you are finished.
Hey, great AMA, did you hang around with mainly muslim friends, because I know there can be peer pressure from non-muslims friends to do them things?

I did indeed. Read my OP. I added an answer to this assumption, which most people are making that I had a boring time at uni.

Of course I'm gonna get married one day and will have sex... and I did have female friends before uni, just not at uni. But any of the others, I don't have any interest in those at all. Don't even wanna try them as I don't see a single benefit of those. Clubbing is the most stupid thing ever invented. The urban dictionary definition really sums it up for me. Smoking, Drugss, and Alcohol, I just don't see ANY point whatsoever in those.

Russian roulette?

Did you do any sports (eg. rugby) or anything where there's a big drinking culture, or just generally avoid the sorts of situations where there'd be heavy peer pressure?

You better had damn well graduated with a decent first.

Thanks. Actually I have hung around with around 4 Muslims who were some of my closest friends. But surprisingly all of them have smoked, drunk alcohol, gone clubbing, and even done drugs. It's about what I want to do. I don't get easily affected by peer pressure. I have certain set rules in my life and I wouldn't go against them no matter how many friends around me are doing. I've had several times when everyone (and I mean all of my friends) went out to do one of these and I just went back to my room. So, nope, no peer pressure.

How often did you do something that wasn't working?

The things you did sound very good, and are a whole lot better than clubbing.

When does a first become not decent? :confused:
