I'm a Keynesian.

Good on you so am I. Well done.
I also did that but that's because I am socially retarded.

clubbing may be everything that the urban dictionary suggests but do you not feel that forcing yourself into scenarios that you are un-comfortable/not used to is good practise?

I'm not forcing myself in any scenarios that I'm uncomfortable with.

As I explained above, most of these things, I just find absolutely absurd and nonsense.

* Clubbing: I find it completely stupid. Check the definition of clubbing on Urban dictionary. That's my view on it.
* Drinking, drugs, cigarettes: Don't see a single benefit of any of these, which are purely harming. Why go through that ****? Get hammered and then spend the next day in a hangover and feeling absolutely horrendous...
* Female friends: That wasn't much because of choice, I just didn't get along with any girls, mainly because I was studying a course that was 90+ % guys (Civil Engineering).
* Sex: Since I didn't get to know any girls well enough, I didn't wanna get into that as I'm not losing my virginity to someone who I'll regret for the rest of my life. It's kept for someone special.

Clubbing can be pretty ****e sometimes but it is a way to meet girls and make 'female friends'...

Not everyone who drinks gets hungover, people who can't handle their drink do.

In the future you might not have the choice- I don't particularly like going out but I still do it as much as possible to stay social ect...?

Not everything that happen to you is within your control, and you may get into a position at some point where being more extroverted could be advantageous. ?

I don't think that going clubbing is the only way of being extrovert.

No but the list you used suggests to me that you are quite introverted?

There are a large number of practising Muslims living in the West. Most of them wouldn't go clubbing and all of them would never drink. I doubt all of them are introverted.
Have you ever been heartbroken/ in love?

No it's not. I've gone against a few things my religion tells me, but others are pure coincidences. Now, smoking or even shisha isn't against Islam at all. I personally decide not to do that. My point is that there are a large number of people that after uni stop clubbing and drinking-wise, the vast majority of Muslims wouldn't drink. Just as an example of a group of people.
What did you do on freshers week?

I see where your coming from- maybe your just mature beyond your age and therefore not motivated by similar things as others (like sex ect)?
Oh God you're so boring. Why would I ask you anything?
Original post by muffingg
I'm Muslim, but that's got nothing to do with that. I've done things that one isn't supposed to do as a Muslim, so if I wanted to, I would've done these as well.

Of course I'm gonna get married one day and will have sex... and I did have female friends before uni, just not at uni. But any of the others, I don't have any interest in those at all. Don't even wanna try them as I don't see a single benefit of those. Clubbing is the most stupid thing ever invented. The urban dictionary definition really sums it up for me. Smoking, Drugss, and Alcohol, I just don't see ANY point whatsoever in those.

Did you ever go out to clubs then? Were there instances where you enjoyed it?

I'm one who likes societies too. However I do plan on going out, not drinking though. Is there anything you did instead?

As the title says, I (Male) went to uni,
* Never touched alcohol
* Never touched a cigarette / shisha
* Didn't do any drugs
* Never had sex
* Never went clubbing
* Didn't have a single female friend

Ask me anything

Why didn't I have female friends:

Why I didn't have a boring time:

asalaamualaykum,

i think im gna be pretty much in the same situation as you but i will probably have more female friends because of the course im studying

Don't you think you'd struggle to talk and have a relationship with a female later on in your life if you've not had any female friends before? You can't just dive straight into a marriage...
