Factorise:
1) 4a^2+6a+8
2) 8ab^2+2ab-4a^2b
If you could tell me how to do the first question that would be great.

In both cases take out he common factor(s) and then see what's left.
2(...........)
2ab(..........)
Can you factorise what's left in the brackets?
I was thinking of something much more complicated. That makes sense now, thank you!
