General Discussion Further Pure 1 - 4 Maths 2015 [All Exam Boards]

This is a thread to discuss the Fp exams for those taking it in 2015.
I am repeating Fp2 and Fp3. Did poorly so am not in a position to help but I'm sure more experienced people will help out :smile:.

Gonna be thorough! I surprisingly did better in Fp3 than Fp2 lol.

I'm Edexcel. 94 here. I'm not sure if I'll start from the beginning but I'm unusually excited.

lol yeah i know. gonna retake some modules myself, fp3 m3 and a couple others. quite annoyed about my exam performance, but have to move on

Oh okay. Did you do them early in year 12? Are you doing a gap year?
How did those modules go specifically?

no i just finished my a levels this year. You'll never believe this but i started self teaching fp3/m3/fp2 in march.
fp2 - 93
m3 - 73
fp3 - 76

Might take up m4/5

i think you should learn the content as early as possible, then practice practice practice, more you do the better and tough questions as well.
I'm going to be doing aea step 1/11 as well which will hopefully make fp/mech easier.
Use bostock and some other proper maths textbooks

what do you mean by m5 text btw?

Hi, Starting Year 12 in September, doing FM so will be taking FP1 in June. How does the work in FP1 Compare to other AS Modules C1/C2 etc

Let's hope that FP2 and 3 are a little more challenging that FP1.
