The rooms are surprisingly quite spacious. You've got a single bed, large desk, bed side table and two chairs. You have a built in wardrobe which has two shelves and space at the bottom for shoes; and the bathroom is a decent size too. Compared to the several houses around you (except Bowder Court) Witstow and Withcote have the best rooms by far, and there were rumours that they might have redecorated them over the summer.

The radiators are a bit temperamental, but that only really matters in the winter as the rooms can get quite hot in the summer. Don't worry about things that say "hot water is from 7-10" or whatever, I found that hot water runs all throughout the day.

There is a kitchen on each floor. Ground floor is for 12 people and first floor is for 14 (as you have the two people on second first floor too). There's enough space for everyone to have a cupboard, but there's only 4 chairs and it can get quite cramped in the kitchen during pre-drinks. In the kitchens you get a kettle, microwave and a convection oven which you can cook pretty much anything in.

Between Withcote and Wistow House there is a fire door which was open all of last year, so should hopefully be open this year too; but this basically means that you have a large group of people (of about 50) to socialise which is great!

They also put restrictors on the window whilst I was living there last year which are a pain in the summer when all you want to do is open the window as wide as possible! But the thing with these restrictors is that they only put them in a few rooms so you may not get one depending on what room you are in.

No Problem  I could have a look through some of my friends photos if you wanted to see any? Ah nice! My best friend was in room 20. It's the closet one to the boys house, but it does have a restrictor on the window though you'll be fine in the summer as your room gets the sun in the evening rather than in the morning so it won't be as hot.

Sure! It's an identical layout to Wistow House but with one less room on the top floor (if you see my post to oke186 a little further up you'll see a description of the room and kitchen). What room are you in? Some of the rooms are a little smaller than the others because they are corner rooms which means the bathrooms are tiny too :frown:

It's about a 10 minute walk away from Asda, and if you walk a 5 more minutes you reach Weatherspoons which is the local pub that's not in Oadby village. Withcote and Wistow are surrounded by several other houses of the same kind, which is great as everyone just spills out during pre-drinks and you meet loads of people  The bus stop is about a 2 minute walk away and the gym is about 5 minutes away. Don't know if this covered what you were after but I'm happy to answer any more questions you have about halls, social life etc
