It is their best option. They can't play both Ozil and Giroud in the tough matches. If I was to choose one, it has to be Giroud because he would provide a more direct route to goal with Alexis playing off him.

We should sacrifice Ozil for big matches and buy an actual DM and play 4-3-3.

Alexis - Giroud - Walcott
Ramsey - DM - Ox/Wilshere etc.
