What's the worst thing you've heard a student say about you?

I would tell you that that needs to go in the bin.

What if, upon careful inspection, the gum turned out to be laced with LSD?

How would you advise someone get permission to sit in and watch on classes?
How would one go about getting permission from the school?

Nah, were not that hard to handle

Do you teach the low or the higher sets?

And what do you think of students who just cant seem to understand the concept even after explaining/ how do you deal with it?

I disagree that you're not that hard to handle.

I mainly teach lower sets (5 out of the 6 classes I teach are low ability sets).

You accept that you can't win every battle in terms of understanding. Sometimes the student will understand it the next time you cover the topic. As long as I've tried my best, I have no regrets.

One girl was talking loudly to her friend about how much she hated me and that she was going to make me cry.

I would phone a senior teacher (there is always one on-call) and they would then contact police.

You can email/phone the school and they will arrange this for you. They are usually very accommodating about this unless they are being Ofsted inspected or something like that.

Is this a reference to a book/film or something? I don't get it.
What's your advice for someone who isn't sure if they want to be a primary school teacher but (too put it bluntly) can't think of anything else they want to be
also I'm worried if I do do a degree in primary education with qts in uni, that I will be stuck doing that job if I don't like it. I would do the 3 years of a normal degree and then pgce but that's 4 years and uni is expensive enough as it is
Do you like your job?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a primary education degree a 4 year degree anyway? I've not known of a way of getting QTS without spending 4 years studying.

I'd recommend doing a degree with a PGCE after it.

I think so. I think there are students who really look up to me and I want to be a good role model for them.
