do you look down on people that watch porn ?

i treat myself with disdain if i look at porn, so i treat others with disdain if they tell me they watch porn as well.

no need for such filth.

I am in a long term relationship of 2 years and know my partners habits when it comes to porn. is it something he enjoys? yes it is. do I look down on him for it? no.

it's not betraying relationships or anything for that matter.

sometimes your partner is 2 tired or 2 busy to 'see to you' therefore porn is useful or it could just be about getting to sleep better.

my partner uses it to encourage him
he sees a vagina and thinks vagina. he doesn't concentrate on the actual female themselves just vagina and boobs lol

I see nothing wrong with it and it hasn't effected my relationship at all

thinking porn is filth is childish.
we are all human beings with needs and urges.

it is a useful tool when your other half is not around or doesn't want to have sex for various reasons.

This is coming from a 20 year old female

A key part of being human is knowing how to control those urges.

Also, a 2-year relationship is not "long-term". :s-smilie:

one thing is certain though, i will never watch porn again.
It does nobody any harm whatsoever, I don't see why I ought to care. Besides, it's better they satisfy their sexual appetite that way, than, say, doing something that might be harmful to others (e.g. public masturbation, sexual assault).

Let get this straight.

Firstly people who agree that watching porn is normal thing to do in todays 'Western' society are wrong (in my opinion). Porn should be avoided at all cost firstly it destroys relationships as a person becomes more enticed in watching there computer screen and F**k with themselves, rather than forming REAL relationships with the opposite sex (or homosexuals-no offence).

Secondly, I could be wrong as I myself being liberally religious, abstain from such unnecessary urges that lead to absolute nowhere. Honestly, speaking it has led me to a spiralling circle of depression and loneliness. And finally I believe I am breaking out of this circle of doom. And starting to believe in my self-confidence to form real-life relationships. Rather than something that lasts for a few minutes of fantasising about a lewd whore who only exists for a few moments of artificial pleasure.

I understand a lot of people will disagree with what I have wrote above. Having said that, the most important thing is every individual has there on views on this topic matter. Whether you are confident in facing with reality and aspiring to forming meaningful relationships or relish in the confinement of factitious enjoyment. Choice is yours!

yes I agree with it's everyones choice
personally I wouldn't do it myself but its my fellas choice in the matter with what he does

I don't agree with it ruins relationships but I think thats down to the 2 individuals involved and their desire for their partners vs porn

and my relationship is long term to me thank you very much to the comment above I was just giving my example and experience.

I don't watch it personally (I once watched it when I was too young and was put off), but if someone else does, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

like I said in the comment to king jullian
I was just giving my example and experience my relation is long term to myself I suppose

yes we do need to control ones urges but that doesn't mean we do not get them and it does not mean that they need to go unsatisfied every time

men need release especially when they are single

males are very sexual by nature (not saying everyone is) just a generalisation of most people. it's a choice

Gosh I seemed to have missed the moment somebody came up with a universal definition for 'long term'. Please remind me when is that exactly?

Not really. They just want one.

No need to be silly; obviously, there is no quantitative answer to that, but I would say the majority of people older than 21 would not consider 2 years to be "long-term".

well I guess I am let off then considering I am 20.

whats wrong with wanting one?
theres nothing wrong with it

it's all down to personal preference anyway.
some people have high libidos some people have a non existent one.

It's down to the individuals

I can't say I look down on people who watch it but I definitely look down on the performers in it and also people who talk about watching it in public.
look down on every single human being with access to the internet? That must be some trick.

A better title would be "All of the men we surveyed have watched porn at some point in their lives".

You're the only one in the thread acting like a child, to be honest. :dontknow:

NOT true. I'm Christian too and tbh you're using your beliefs to be a hateful ****. Stop being offensive and shove that self righteous bull**** up your arse. You can learn a thing or two about how to do that in porn.
