When I was going through a particularly bad time, when I struggled to get practically anything done, one thing that helped a little was to write a list of productive and/or fun things to do. It would range from tiny things like just eating a piece of fruit up to major projects or studying (generally the last thing I felt like doing ). Then when I was feeling down or at a loose end I could look at the list, and generally find at least something I felt able to achieve. Even if what you do seems really small and insignificant, it's still you doing something productive and good for you, and saying **** you to the bad thoughts or low mood.

Timetabling can also work really well for some people, although others feel more restricted by it. Also, moaning on the internet! Nothing like getting it out of your system and talking to like-minded people (:hi:) to kind of reboot your system. Then of course there's the world of lolcats, youtube videos and porn that's interesting for all the wrong reasons. :teehee:

Thanks for your reply and tips. :hat2:

I get you for sure, it sucks :frown:

I haven't had a great day, could I have a bubble hug of sorts?

Also people: enough with the non-success stories! Anyone making an effort to battle their depression/anxiety/psychosis/phobia of bunnies/whatever is doing something pretty awesome, and will go on to achieve many things. :proud:

is it bad this made me giggle?

my grandad went white at 21! Like full head white. Unfortunately its probably in your genes.

Ignore your parents, its VERY difficult to get a job at the moment, its not just you. So try not to listen to them ok!

Also money doesnt give you happiness, trust me on that one!

Struggling with staying awake and focussed during revision. I don't seem to be able to concentrate more than 45 minutes and it is not even because of bad thoughts, actually I feel normal. So I male loads of pauses during the day and try to sleep in between. (In addition to night.)

And again struggling with all that social interaction. I just plan to say, they shall give me feedback, as I am not that talented in getting things accross nicely, because otherwise I won't get better at it. And I hope I pass my exams and I don't want to do the social skills stuff at university.

Trust me, completely linking your mental health to what grades you get is only going to lead to further unhappiness. :sadnod: Do something worthwhile with your time (volunteering, education, new hobbies), remember all the good things about your life, and remember that school actually matters a hell of a lot less than you might think.

I had one set but I slept through it :frown: I text them but they haven't replied :/ they're probably mad at me :frown:

Mix of bad and good stuff today, we did really well on our first flat inspection but then later on our tv broke (it just keeps turning itself off and on) and now I feel I'm going to be sick :/

I just want to be happy that's literally my only goal and im scared im watching myself waste away. I dont know why I overthink I always just watch documentaries about terrorism and real life issues and i think its eating me away how insignificant i am compared to the whole world. You are right school actually school should not control your life but as a student it seems that way huh? I didnt make it to uni so i feel like a failure whereas my friends got into a medical school. Thanks for replying it made me feel a lot better x

That sounds like a pretty normal concentration span to me, I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe stop having naps during the day, and try and get back to the good sleep rhythm you had before? And they're probably just busy with the meeting, and that's why they haven't replied.

Okay :frown: I didn't mean to sleep, I was just really cold so I got in bed to try and warm up and ended up drifting off. I wish I knew why I'm tired literally all the time :/ yeah I'll need to start going to bed at 10 again :sadnod:

I wish our tv was working :frown:

:hugs: I think the bed at 10 thing might be a good idea, or maybe 10.30 or 11? Did you mention the always feeling cold thing to the doctor as well as talking about your tiredness? Dunno if the two might be connected?

How about watching something on your flatmate's computer (assuming she has one)?

 Some people seriously need to learn some manners. It's entirely up to you what you do and don't pour over your head while fully clothed (most sane people would opt for nothing ), so I'd tell this person to kindly get bent. :h:
Different antidepressants have different effects on people but mirtazapine is infamous for being sedating. Are you taking it at night, that might help. Another thing is that mirtazapine gets less sedating at higher doses so you could try asking your doctor about that.

Okay :/ I mentioned it to the useless doctor but he never did anything about it. I'll mention it to the different doctor I saw last time, he seemed nice and more interested  I've been kinda thinking it might be chronic fatigue syndrome since I had bloods done and they showed nothing wrong :s-smilie:

Got my flatmates computer and watching the IT Crowd on netflix to cheer myself up. Still haven't eaten and don't feel like moving to cook something. Considering just ordering something, but then that costs money
