You just know Wenger would put Welbeck on the left and Sanago still up front. Would be hilarious if you did that against City and Sanago scores the winning goal :colone:

Having Welbeck now, means we hopefully will not have to see much of Sanogo trying to play football anymore. Happy days.

No but you do have to see a lot more of Danny Welbeck trying to play football.

I see he's given Lord Bendtner's shirt number. I guess that states his bench status when Giroud returns.

The only free shirt number below that is #5.

He'll still most likely be on the bench when Giroud returns.
^ Everton gave that number to striker Eto'o their new signing  (personally I think #28 would have suited better)

How can you possibly say that at this stage?

It entirely depends on how he performs until Giroud comes back. If he's scoring well then I can't see any reason why he'd automatically become second fiddle.

And you know wenger sees Giroud as being as good as RVP in his deluded head.
It's a good situation for him really because he has 3-4 months to really stake his claim to the position.

I think Welbeck could do quite well at Arsenal if given the chance, he gets a lot of unfair criticism imo.

No excuses this time, though, if Wenger does play him up front. He should have a few months of being first choice striker with loads of quality support.
