To start with the bases of History questions at both GCSE and A-Level, is to get you to look at/discuss both sides of the argument presented and come to a conclusion.

The question you have is asking you to look at two events and come to a conclusion on which if either proved more fatal. On TSR no one will answer the question for you, however I can give you pointers on how to structure your answer and what the question is asking for.

Start with a short paragraph for your introduction;
-What is the League of Nations?
-Brief sentence on Manchuria
-Brief sentence on Abyssinia
-BRIEFLY - Did both or only one have a pose problems to the L.O.N

Discussion on Manchuria
-What happened?
-What problems did this pose to the L.O.N?

Discussion on Abyssinia
-What happened?
-What problems did this pose to the L.O.N?

Conclusion
- Summarise argument
- Compare the effect of both on the L.O.N
- State which proved more fatal if any and briefly explain why you have come to this conclusion
