Oh, that's quite disappointing. I was keen to have read everything I would be studying prior to starting haha, luckily I am familiar with some texts I'm certain I'll be studying.

Thank you

I wouldn't recommend buying any books before you arrive and start studying - often they're available second hand or there are enough copies in the library (or they're on the reading list as filler and not really needed).

HOWEVER if you go to your module list on your course page: http://www.southampton.ac.uk/humanities/undergraduate/courses/english/qv35_ba_english_and_philosophy.page?#modules
and follow the links to the modules then select the learning and teaching tab then you'll find a reading list for each module:
eg http://www.southampton.ac.uk/humanities/undergraduate/modules/phil1016_reason_and_argument.page#learning

So you can at least get an idea of what you'll be after. And you can have a look and see what's available in the library too http://library.soton.ac.uk/subjects

They stop giving out accommodation in mid-September so there should be some left, where have you applied? I think Glen Eyre is full now :/ Thats what they told me.

Just for everyone's info incase you didn't know, arrival slots are now available to book for halls
Does anyone actually know the flat/room number of their accomodation? When enrolling you need it, but I don't even have mine

No, I just put Romero Halls (general address) without the flat/room number and it was accepted

Actually you're right. The residences will automatically update it if it is university owned accomodation

The different halls are highlighted in green, if you click on your hall name it will go onto the page you need to book a time

I click on the time I want, then I can't register as there is already an account apparently yet the password is apparently incorrect when I try to login with my sussed account, then I don't even get an email when I click on forgot password, bs this.

I created a new account before i realized that i think this is the same account that you used to register for an open day if you went to one. It isn't the same login as your sussed account

yeah it's confusing, I went on forgot password and used my sussed username and then I got to reset my password and now I've booked a slot but I can't login anymore, says incorrect password, this kind of bs annoys me.
