HELP ME google isnt really useful, what are all the types of engineering degrees out

There are lots of different types of engineering degrees, which one you choose depends on your interests and how specialised you want to be. There are some courses which are simply general Engineering, but they're not very common (although Oxford and Cambridge do them). They're the best if you're genuinely not sure what you want to specialise in, or if you want to get an overview of lots of different types.

Apart from general engineering, the two next broadest engineering categories are probably Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering - I would imagine that they're also the most popular courses. The other major branches I can think of that you can study at university are Aeronautical Engineering (sometimes taught as part of Mechanical Engineering), Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

There are also more specialised engineering courses, like Materials Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Engineering (often taught as part of Civil Engineering), Structural Engineering (also often taught as part of Civil), Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering (often taught as part of Mechanical) and so on.
Oh wow theres alot. Thanks for your help. What the difference between chemical and biomedical engineering?

Well, chemical engineering is far more diverse. Biomedical engineering is focused more towards the health sector. Chemical engineering is far more diverse as you can work in the petroleum industry, pharmaceutical industry, computer manufacturing, health care and many others.

Do some further research on it

[QUOTE="numanali;50178621"]I'm studying Chemical Engineering currently, so if you have any course specific question: :

Great! You too  1 question. You mentioned something about using a chemical engineering degree in the healthcare sector, how could you do that?

Well chemical engineers are involved in manufacturing biomedical devices, artificial kidneys, artificial hearts, artificial vessels (in kidney centres are attached below arm pits and are connected to the Venus and arterial system) ,drug delivery devices etc etc
Also, chemical engineers facilitate the health care sector via the pharmaceutical industry.

I forgot to mention that the whole of the food industry relies on chemical engineers

Hope that helps

Lol I know. Basically I come from a family of engineers, so I did way too much research before I chose Chemical Engineering. So yeh I know pretty much everything about the program

No worries  I try my best to help out, because I couldn't find anyone who knew about chemical engineering when I was doing my research. Always here to help.

Lol funny. I'm a chemical engineering student my friend and an Approved STEM Ambassador. So no, no one is paying me. I'm just trying to help!

Well, it was literally the second result on Google in response to "what are all the types of engineering degrees", so cheers for managing to compose a grammatically-coherent thread title.
