The Student Room Group

calling all new university starters

I have 3 questions to you

Why did you choose your uni?

What part of moving to your new city (if you are) are you most excited about?

And what is the one thing you wouldn't go to uni without?

I chose my uni because it was close to my home city(2 hours) and it had a really good friendly vibe. Anywhere outside London is friendly though

I'm excited to start fresh and to explore the new city. There are lots of green spaces to have a walk too..

I don't understand your last question.

1. I never planned to go to this particular uni but it seemed like my favourite one out of a possible 3 through clearing.

2. Freedom, independence, and a new environment is always exciting.

3. Money
Why did you choose your uni?

my firm rejected me.

meeting other people. It's supposed to be one of the biggest student cities in the UK.

And what is the one thing you wouldn't leave for uni without?

my phone.

I'm going to Queens University Belfast to do Computer Science.

1. Cause the fees in mainland UK are ridiculous, it's a very good course and the uni has a very good graduate employment rate.

2. New people, new experiences and being independent.

3. Phone.

What is the one item you couldn't go to uni without bringing?

1. Best all round course content, offering placement years and there was pretty much 0 down points I could think of between my last 2 choices however the 1 I picked had 1 better module.

2. Plenty to see and do, haven't lived in a city before also.

3. PC
